4) I made vegan cupcakes for it and I’m not going to tell my family or friends and see how they like them anyway ;)

5) I haven’t been posting but I ran 20 miles last week and ate very well

oh and my mom and i are opening a bakery… no seriously… we are… that’s why ive been so busy

Lil catch up

Whoops guess its been a few days…. I’ll play catch up. I had spring break this past week (awesome sauce) I’ve been going to spin and strength classes at a local studio and I LOVE IT.

Even better- I’ve been running too! Alsooooooooooo I got my iPad yesterday (writing this on it) and its AWESOME I wish I had more things to say but honestly the best part about this post is I have no complaints and I have small victories going on…

gifs are more important than words today

SOOO today I went to this fitness class BY MY SELF and I LOVED IT. They have spinning and yoga, pilates and other strength classes (thats what i took today)!

I also took out my bikkkkkkkke!!! and went for a ride because it was AMAZING out today.

Then I read some more of the China Study (for some reason I wanted to read this instead of hunger games 2………..)

annnd dennnnn debs and I went for a walk at the canal… again cue the amazingly nice day.

annnnnd now I’m going to bed and being the worst blogger ever because I can’t even think and i think gifs are more important than words today…

Attempting to lift, run and iPAD3!

I feel like I’ve been the biggest bum the past two days- but I’m okay with that. I mean I have been doing lots of productive things (making a meal plan, running schedule, reading books, working out, hanging out with some friends…. watching too much tv…). 

Work out for today:

I WENT TO THE GYM AND ONLY LIFTED!!!!! <— woah I don’t even know what I did, arms, but I couldn’t tell you the names of the machines… But I did reps of 12-10-8. 

THEN came home ate lunch because I was starving (#shitgirlssay) and had lunch… did some “homework” meaning I opened up something I needed to do then continued to do other things. THENNNNN RAN!!

I’ve been on a Grey’s Anatomy marathon since I got home from round of the gym. I think it’s hilarious when I go twice in a day and I see the same workers there… as if I don’t see them enough as it is bahhh

Work Out:

3.5 mile run in 32 minutes <— look at that progress people! da base is being built!!

Then round two was 15 minutes stair master and 15 minutes elliptical while watching http://vimeo.com/37119711 <— STOP KONY that ish is ridiculous, I’m a huge advocate for the Enough Project and my sophomore year of college I was apart of helping Sudanese refugees get settled in Syracuse and accustomed to how a normal day of school would go so first off I was mad at myself for not knowing about this already (I usually keep up on stuff) and two couldn’t believe this Kony guy has done what he did for so long. Absolutely disgusting. 

I had something else I wanted to share when I started writing this post but now I forgot… sorri boiis and gurrrls

Ps. I put kale in the oven to make kale chips and when the timer went off they were burnt… so I made another batch… way less time… at 4 minutes they were not done.. I added 2 minutes to the time… I came back 1/2 was burnt…clearly the world doesn’t want me to eat kale tonight…

QUESTTTTTTION

QUESTION- 

I’m looking for a running plan that will have a base building period and then a hills / speed work period. I need some structure and I don’t think that just building a steedy state cardio is a good idea for me if I want to lose weight…. Any thoughts? 

** I don’t have the funds to do cross fit/ get a personal trainer/ buy a different gym membership etc so please don’t suggest I do things like those. 

As for weight training- I don’t know how the f to do things unless they are personally shown to me so for now push ups/ planks, lunges and squats are essentially all I can do… that might be an exaggeration and I can do other things, but don’t tell me to dead lift and do those things because welp i have no idea what I’m doing and i’d rather not get hurt or waste my time :) 

Opinions are like armpits, we all have them and they all stink - 

ps. person who told me about the rice “cheese” THANK YOU, I had no idea and clearly didn’t read the back of it well enough! 

Fun things to add to today- 

Went to Strong Hearts for lunch (amazing) 

Went to a healthy living speaker at a local college (loved it, going to meet with her personally)

It’s snowing fairly bad and that is making me super nervous for tomorrow because I have lots of driving in the next 48 hours

Chemistry Cat ftw

I’ve been cracking up all morning at chemistry cat… 

HILARIOUS. 

As for other news… I ran for 40 minutes straight today… 4.2 miles (see picture for my reaction to my “slow” time) (yes i am clearly still annoyed that im way slower/larger but at least i’m making a slight attempt to forgive myself)

Vegan Pizzzzzzzza and some runnage

I mean I don’t want to completely jinx myself, but I had another good run today. It was just decent and then this “friend” worker at the gym thought it would be HILARRRRRIOUS to hit the stop button as I’m running on the treadmill… OMG SO FUNNY…. not…at…all. Good thing I stare intensely at the miles while I run… so I had done 1.3  (no idea the time) so I had to start over and did another 2miles and felt wicked good! Hazzzaaaaaaah. SOooo that was the dealio for that. I did that then went on the elliptical and read women’s health -which I hate- for the next 30 minutes.

Now is where you can be shocked by me. 

I went upstairs (usual) to do “push ups” (attempt it) and “abs” I air quote abs because I never ever finish what I intend to do (or so I feel like). Well today I did 3 straight planks, then 4 side planks (2 each) and the “backward” planks things (i didnt describe that well). And I was dyinnnng and I did 25 push ups like SOLID push ups. So I felt accomplished in all ends of fitness today.

Now… to keep this going in the food department…
